Well folks, 2020 has been laid to rest. It’s easy to wallow in what a terrible year it was with the pandemic, the vitriolic election campaigns, the slowing down of the economy, the hurricanes, the wildfires, police violence/killings, the sad and shocking deaths of Chadwick Boseman, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Eddie Van Halen, and Kobe Bryant and international terrorism. So let’s not do that.
Let’s remember some good things came out of 2020. Here are mine:
Favorite Sports moment:
Dominic Thiem wins the US Open tennis from two sets down.
I’m a fan of both Dominic Thiem and Alexander Zverev. Thiem has been on the ATP tour for years and had paid his dues by getting to grand slam finials three times prior. Zverev is an exciting young player with talent to spare.
The first two sets were one sided for Zverev. I didn’t think Thiem was going to win, then suddenly his play improved and his nervousness seemed to disappear. This was one of those slams where I wanted both players to somehow win.

Paris Hilton from CBS News
Correspondent Tracy Smith asked Paris Hilton, “What do you think the difference is between that character that you created and the real Paris?”
“There’s so many differences,” Hilton replied. “With the character, it’s mostly kind of this blonde, bubbly, kind of Barbie airhead. And in real life, I’m the exact opposite. I’m not a dumb blonde, I’m just very good at pretending to be one.“
BAHAHAHAHAHA! Paris Hilton deserves an Oscar, an Emmy, and a Tony for her acting skills. What more can I say?

Jenna Moreci’s writing vlogs were a shining light in 2020. Bless her mechanical cyborg heart.
Favorite Book:
This book didn’t publish in 2020, but I discovered it in 2020 so it still counts.

Favorite TV Shows:
Everyone needs to check out these comedies. The acting is great. They’re funny—not all comedies are to me at least.
Of course, the best thing that happened in 2020 was Joe Biden winning the presidential election. History was made and the worldwide nightmare of that is Donald Trump is over.
